Cookie Policy

What is stored on your device when you use this site, and the legal basis for it under Finnish and EU law.

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This policy explains the use of cookies and similar local-storage technologies on this website, in line with §205 of the Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services (917/2014), the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 on consent. Final wording will be reviewed by Finnish counsel before any change in scope.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage and session storage maintained by your browser. Together, they let a site remember information between page loads.

2. What we store on your device today

We currently store only what is strictly necessary to operate this website. No analytics, advertising or social-media tracking technologies are loaded.

hv-consent-v1localStorage (first-party)Records whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies so the banner is not shown on every visit.Persistent until you clear browser storage

Because this item is strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested (a website that respects your cookie choice), it does not require consent under §205(3) of Act 917/2014.

3. What we do not load at launch

  • No Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager.
  • No Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel.
  • No LinkedIn Insight Tag.
  • No third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No call-recording or session-replay tooling.

If we introduce any non-essential cookie in the future, this page will be updated and we will request your consent through the cookie banner before such cookies are set, in line with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and §205 of Act 917/2014.

4. Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time via your browser settings. Doing so will remove our consent record and the banner will appear again on your next visit. Most browsers also allow you to block cookies entirely or per site.

5. Supervisory authority

In Finland, cookie use is supervised by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom)under Act 917/2014. Data protection aspects fall under the supervision of the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) under the EU GDPR and the Finnish Data Protection Act (1050/2018).
